The Clean Water Program Guidebook Series for Prince George's County Municipalities: Building Effective Local Public Education and Community Engagement Programs

This guidebook was written for those municipalities within Prince George's County that are required under the State general stormwater permit to incorporate public education, outreach, public involvement and participation into their local stormwater management programs. It offers advice on how municipal staff can maximize the effectiveness of their public education and community engagement plans to restore and protect our local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay. This guidebook is designed to help clarify and offer general direction on the municipality’s role in addressing two of the Clean Water Program core components: Public Education and Community Engagement and Trash and Litter.
