Problem:  In an industrial section of Baltimore, heavy volumes of stormwater flowed from rooftops into storm drains, delivering polluted runoff to Inner Harbor during each rainfall.

Project location: Fallston, MD

Problem: Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Fallston had a turf lawn that was providing minimal stormwater management or water quality benefits.

Project location: Laurel, MD

Problem:  The Savage Branch Library in Laurel serves Howard County residents and includes a STEM Education Center.  The large library property contained few trees or landscaping elements and experienced frequent drainage issues. 

Project Location: Bethesda, MD

Problem:  Poorly-managed pet waste not only can be a nuisance to pedestrians but it also poses public health hazards (as it carries bacteria and parasites) and it is a source of water quality impairment due to its high nutrient content.

Project Location: Silver Spring, MD

Problem:  Members of St. Camillus Church in Silver Spring noticed muddy brown water flowing across the church’s driveway and parking lot during heavy rains.  Soil from nearby hillsides was being washed into storm drains and into the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River, and ultimately into the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay.
