This plan provides guidance on green infrastructure techniques that seek to solve problems created by the combined sewer system, applicable to both the older areas of the city and surrounding suburban area. This plan is intended to facilitate broad application of green infrastructure techniques throughout the City of Lancaster. Its goals are to link clean water solutions to community improvements; create green infrastructure programs that maximize the value of the City of Lancaster's investments; and reduce pollution, erosive flows, and combined sewer overflows to improve water quality. The plan includes conceptual designs and cost estimates for green infrastructure demonstration projects throughout the city.
